Mixed feelings about this, I wouldn't like it to happen to me, but I can think of plenty of online players of EA's titles who I'd love to see banned! Judging by the abuse that's thrown around online anonymity makes peole think they can be as offensive as they like.

It's about time someone started holding people to account for what they say online.

I think the problem here is that they are banning people from offline games, not just the online games and forums.

They have started doing that in the UK and its a slippery slope a few people have lost their job for of the cuff remarks that you would say to your mates or in any public place and would not be reprimanded for.

The internet should always be taken with a pinch of salt and any attempt to control its use will be an attack on the freedom of speech... but I do agree people say a lot of things that they shouldn't
