Well when I researched the baby jesus I couldnt find ANY evidence other than hearsay. Not one eyewitness account NADA, all there is is hearsay that doesnt come into record until around 93CE. And the gospel accounts arent eyewitness accounts so nothing in the bible is considered archeological or scientific evidence. Not one historian from the first half of the first century ever mentions a miracle worker named jesus much less the roman records kept at the time.
Well, Pontius Pilatus was a real historical person (there's evidence to back it up). You also have to take into account that Jesus was an extremist of his time. Many people choose to ignore him because of his blasphemy, that of pretending to be the son of God. Surely they would not want people to know about such a person and hence they did not write about him. Speaking for myself, I almost never go to church for other reasons than the usual marriages, baptisms and funerals BUT not having ANYTHING to believe in must be a terribly hollow way to live this life. I believe in something but I don't know exactly what it is, does it make any sense? probably not, does it enrich my everyday life? yes it actually does. What I don't believe in is forcing your religion on others or judging others for what they believe in, I guess it's called mutual respect.

Come on people. This is a forum for video games; there's no need to bring arguments over religion into it.

I seriously can't believe we're doing this.

It's a place for people to gather who have an interest in the same things, as I see it, like a bar or a golf club, or better yet the bar at the golf club. Is it impermissible for the conversation to wander from the topics of booze and golf occasionally?

Yes Pontius Pilatus was real and his reign is well recorded in Roman history. The Romans kept meticulus records of all events of significance. they even kept records of all there crucifixions and yet not one mention of anyone claiming to be a messiah. Do your own research of historical records of the first century and you'll be amazed that there is no evidence of baby jebus.

Gospels say he was famous in all the land, thousands upon thousands knew of him yet not one historian of his time ever mentions anyone named jesus.
First mention of a jesus is in around 93-94CE (AD) by Josephus when he mentions a person christians followed. Is this evidence? No its all hearsay evidence and most scholars admit it is almost certainly christian interpolations to try and sell the jesus story.

Believe me Ive been researching the historical and scientific evidence for this for a few years now and there just isnt any proof of any religion being true. They all revolve around ancient myths just like being reincarnated.

Well, in most bars and definitely in any golf club, religion is off-limits, BadAim. Ah well what do I care. Go for it.

There are no explanations of religion.
There is only one thing ....... faith.
if you do not have faith in yourself you have no faith even in God.
God is unique in the universe.

My goodness. You can't actually believe that can you? Wars are fought for greed and lust for power or to defend against such. Religion is only a convenient excuse.
