Vets/historians might be a little miffed to see mention of the "British Airforce". There is no such entity - it's the RAF. Especially in a product like this, that's quite important!

Second: Woohoo! Will be awaiting news of delivery/download options before purchasing. I'm in North America so not sure what the best method of acquiring a collector's box would be (I'll take a download for the game, if it's via Steam or other such system).

That linked screenshot (0018) is gorgeous. Most of the others have been seen before.

Congrats 1C & devs, can't WAIT to see the full thing running on a high-spec system!

Cheers, Spinner
does that screenie look retouched?

I have a simple suggestion that I'm sure won't make any difference, but wouldn't it be nice if the preorder for the collectors edition came with a free download version on release day, so that no one has to worry about not being able to play if there box doesn't show up straight away. (although I suppose the servers will be dog-slow for the first few days anyway)

good catch! bad on Ubi$oft for not catching that. I hope that little error is not indicative of the support we can expect. If anyone comes across the system requirements, please put that in a new thread so we don't have to go through a million pages of an older thread.

I think the "fight against renegade pilots" may be about online play - as you often face then enemy flying the same plane. ie - you can set up an online war with all planes available to both sides maybe?

...or a 'what if' scenario with Adolf Galland getting his Squadron of Spirfires?!

Any suggestions on how I approach my wife about buying a new PC...

Do not worry about campaigns - I have at least 7 already planned...

If the computer you have now somehow falls off the computer table while you were cleaning it. You will need a new and improved model. I drove my Datsun B210 into a wall once. My next car was a Mustang GT 5.0

Wow, great news, hats off to the dev. team, I'm sure its been a struggle for quite a few years and it must be quite a relief to see a finished product. Looks awesome. We need some really nice videos now

Agreed. I can't in good conscience buy this game if the DRM goes too far. And neither could I play my small part in making the sim a commercial success by recommending it to friends. Both things I ver much want to be able to do.

I'd happily buy 3 or more copies - of the collector's edition, too - if there was no DRM at all. Which might as well be the case since DRM doesn't work. But then I guess we can't expect executives working for Ubisoft to be in touch with reality.
Fail @ reasoning.
No wonder the niche is dying , we're a small community as it is, but this....
