Hey man, regardless of the debate (other thread) - you have to accept that the DRM scheme used was a major reason why Silent Hunter V failed (and why subsims are dead for the moment). UBIsoft effectively killed of a genre (for a few years).

Happy Birthday to me in March

Can't wait to get up into the blue and give Jerry a black eye.

I can hardly believe this day has arrived. Wonderful news.

Agreed. I can't in good conscience buy this game if the DRM goes too far. And neither could I play my small part in making the sim a commercial success by recommending it to friends. Both things I ver much want to be able to do.

I'd happily buy 3 or more copies - of the collector's edition, too - if there was no DRM at all. Which might as well be the case since DRM doesn't work. But then I guess we can't expect executives working for Ubisoft to be in touch with reality.

Yes, but will you - will you really buy 3 copies or are they just cheap words? There is bound to be some DRM, I'm totally fine with online activation - once.

Yes. At least three. The sim, to me, is worth that much. I'll happily supply evidence on release day. If!

I have a simple suggestion that I'm sure won't make any difference, but wouldn't it be nice if the preorder for the collectors edition came with a free download version on release day, so that no one has to worry about not being able to play if there box doesn't show up straight away. (although I suppose the servers will be dog-slow for the first few days anyway)

Fail @ reasoning.
No wonder the niche is dying , we're a small community as it is, but this....
