I won't go back to 4.09, period. The advantages are huge for me. Real navigation made me drool, especially night landings with zero visibility. I absolutely adore the power/prop on axis for all engines, now I have that sweet phase variance in the engine/prop sound.
The G-limits are simply great!

tried the g-limit myselfe, snapped of a spits wing like a twig without really trying. (High speed off course).

Would be even cooler if it was related to rl g-limits for each specific ac. (wich i dont think it is now)

It, actually, is.

Don't try thinking at home - it may hurt your brain.
PS Sorry, I couldn't resist. I love, when people are speculating about something, they don't have a slightest idea of.

Because people are not informed enough by TD? No critics though, let people find stuff out for themselves, a part of the flight sim adventure

How could they, if they make conclusions, before they try?

Haha, yeah that's a good one, a shame for those people though, maybe they miss the bit of childhood in them, which makes them less playfull

S!

I like 4.10m. The change of sky color alone gave more atmosphere to the game, no more space shuttle feeling

The navigation addition is good too, at last the gauges in cockpits get some use instead of just being there without a purpose. Small things here and there add to the package making it good.

Over-G is nice, even it is not able to mimic RL conditions. As a pointer, if we had same over-G symptoms on the F/A-18's I serivice, then all of them would be smoking craters by now, if modelled like in IL-2 There is just THAT much a game can do vs RL. And believe me, seen quite a few over-G situations.

Let's see what 4.11m brings

Ahhh, SaQSon at his best!

See, at least he stated, that he 'thinks, how it is', not that he 'knows how it is' (like some others use to do) - thats quite evolved!

Ill try to be less stupid and ill informed next time i "think" something.I do apologize for getting out of line.

P.S. Great job putting individiuall G-limit numbers for every singel ac and its variants in the game, must have been a mamuth of a job. Keep up the good work.

Thumbs up Excellent impressions - 4.10

I am busily updating two new campaigns that I have been holding back for 4.10. I am adding to them the new navigation NDB's, weather options (wind direction, wind speed, turbulence etc) and the new airfield lighting system.

I think that the new weather options have added a new dimension to the game. I put the wind direction on take-off the wrong way on one runway and soon noticed that the rest of the flight were doing a 'pilot's salute' (up-ended aircraft). I have noticed aircraft ground speed increases with a strong tailwind and the cloud is much thicker.

The new navigation beacons are a wonderful feature. You can home in on your individual airfield NDB or a local radio staion. The ILS system is also a great feature and works very well to bring you safely and accurately to the airfield threshold. I can see a new 'radar equipped' nightfighter aircraft in future versions, using the ILS system to land.

I have set-up several missions with the new AI Do-217 K-2's equipped with Fritx X and Henschel glider bombs. Watching the bombs with their brilliant blue flares snake towards and hitting their targets is quite sobering - the start of 'guided munitions' that we have today. The Dornier bomber was a long missing aircraft in the simulation. Its high-speed at 5000m is a very good feature you can use effectively in mission building.

I have noticed that most of the aircraft that I have tryed so far seem to be flying much better. Add to this the ability to change the wind direction and speed and you have a much more authentic flight simulation.

Congratulations Team Daidalos for a magnificent effort. I will give you another report when I find some more new exciting features.
