Nice animations, very interesting story, especially the first one.

Another I'd like to add to the list is Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow.

Many don't like this movie, but I think it's awesome. I mean, what's not to like about a 1940's plane in the 1930's, blasting space-pterodactyls, Angelina Jolie, diving underwater to blast more robots, landing in flying-aircraft-carriers, Angelina Jolie, trying to stop an evil genius from destroying the world.... Anyone who thinks it's totally lame, is simply missing the point, I think. Too bad it totally bombed in theaters.

Has anyone seen the short film "The German"?
I'm expecting this would be the one of the best dogfight scene judging from the trailer

Not quite on the same scale of deception but what about The Battle of Britain Movie then? Wonderful movie but can't stand the Hispano 'Messerschmitts'.

I agree, missed that one in my list! unfortunately it's very hard to get hold of, at least in Sweden where it is currently out of print everywhere...

Dark Blue World.. never released in The Netherlands. I bought one from the States...

About other movies,

Personally i dislike the 'dumb' use of movieparts from multiple movies eg. Stealth Fighter : Using parts from flight of the intruder, later it starts with a F14 ..low vis camo scheme..it turns in the Iron Eagle F16's again it's a F14 but now in the high vis scheme and on the return it shows others..uhh.....

In no particular order:

12 O'Clock High
Catch 22
Memphis Belle
Tora Tora Tora!
Battle Of Britain
Warlover
Tuskegee Airmen
Hotshots
Flyboys

I'd take Tora Tora Tora - any day of the week, Pearl Harbor i just too irritating for me.

I have to add that Red Baron was the worst disappointment of a movie for me. I expected so much more from acting and overall cliche phrases. Not to mention lack of combat scenes.

Sky Fighters (Les Chevaliers du ciel) was also a movie I expected too much of, the only good thing in there is awesome flight footage and a nice soundtrack. Story was nice but the production and overall directing very bad...

Still on my 'to-watch list':

Dark Blue World
The Hunters
