Maybe it works the other way around: We make up a thread with questions now, Oleg can pick out 5 questions or so per update he wants to answer.

This way he doesn't need to answer all the questions in the thread immediately, but can think about what he likes to answer and how. At the same time, we can read the questions and answers and if we have new questions, we post them for either the next update or Oleg can pick some of the new questions.

Or, similarly, he combines similar questions together. This way, his answer may not cover each question specifically, but still gives a broad-answer.

It's all food for thought.

I really don't think that Oleg has the time to monitor both threads...there are but one or two people here that cluter up the Friday up-date thread with multiple posts, I think that they should practice a little self control, there by reducing the whining and post count. If you and another are in disagreement on a issue, then pm is the best recourse.

Well, this way Oleg can focus on one thread without having to trawl through a lot of rubbish.

Why do you think I am offering this then?! Last week I was answering questions from people who felt it their duty to need to question my views and get inside my mind and change my thoughts. People who felt they needed me to tell them everything they asked.
In short, it got in the way of the object of the whole discussion. This week, we are seeing the discussion turn to the correct use of the English language.

Oh, and no offence, but counting my posts is slightly sad...

Slipball, if you have a problem with me, PM me please.

You really need to exhibit some self control, and not clutter up so much. Oleg really does not need to wade through your many posts each week. Start a new thread, as you have done here...oh, and I would have bet higher on that post count, 73 was a surprise to me.

Yes, I think you do have a good point there. To save this topic derailing, let's agree to drop this subject. You are correct, my self control is depressing at the best of times.

Personally I think the majority of questions are rubbish, and then there are the comments about the various rubbish questions that are also rubbish that lead to the very opinionated stoushes like in last week’s update.

It is also annoying that questions that have already been addressed by the dev’s get asked again later in these threads, like the questions about the fuzzy textures, it was explained it was due to machine limitations but the subject was raised several times later again.

I mainly come here as you can see by my small post count to keep abreast of the progress of SOW and the patches progress and hate to have to sift through reams of stuff just to find out what the dev’ teams are up to, fotunately Oleg always quotes the questions he is answering and so all I have to do is search on his entries to find out what he sees as important.

The whole forum is available for questions and opinions and if they have merit they will gain the post counts they deserve and gravitate to the top and I’m sure the dev’s would take note of these.

However having said the above I would go along with whatever the majority of the community wants and as such this type of question should have been posted as a poll thus letting the community have their opinion known , my answer however would be in the negative.

Again this is just my opinion.

Actually, that is exactly the point. If there is a dedicated thread with questions, Oleg would only have a single thread to monitor for possible questions.
