I wasn't suggesting you did at all. I was merely posing a rhetorical question after observing what I had over the weekend.

As far as bailing goes i only bail for guys whom i know bail, guess that puts you off that list JOED?
Rockets i enjoy using them myself but not on a team mate thats pure childishness.
Thats my opinion you don't have to agree thats the joy of an opinion

Well stated Shadowcorp.

I second that.

Scrap the bomb run, this seems more appropriate:

I've just had a read through this thread, thought I'd share my own thoughts on this.

Rockets in dogfights, not cheese tactics, they are hard to aim, unpredictable and unless your quite literately close enough to lick someones tail, unlikely to hit unless used in head-on.
Any moron that is stupid enough to go for a direct head-on against any war bird without using the rudder to angle their own plane deserves a rocket to the face.

Using a B-17 is indeed unfair. But then using this forum as a flaming tool and a basis to insult people from is not exactly good form either. Especially the above couple of posts. If someone is using a B-17 you will be able to see it in the game lobby, change your plane, change your weapons, change your tactics.

Bailing or quitting is bad, quite clearly. Getting angry and abusive at other players during a game because of this, is also bad.

I'm done.

branko people are allowed to use rockets in BoP, its not the second world war; it's a computer game that includes aircraft that carry bombs and rockets, as such people are allowed to utilise whatever aircraft and load out they wish rockets and in your case turret gun bombers that need a rocket strike to take them out. At least rockets are forward firing.
I hit a fighter at 1600 ft with a rocket yesturday so it is possible albeit hard to do.
I hope that this thread gets shut down as i'm sick of irrational attacks on the use of rockets in what is very clearly a computer game and not world war 2.

I just cant agree here. If I realise someone is on my tail in a fight and they are using guns, I have a chance to evade and engage in a dogfight with him. With rockets more often than not the first you know they are on your tail is when you explode. No chance of engaging, no chance of evading, just instant death. Same with a head on run. If its two planes with guns it becomes a joust, with one plane carrying rockets it becomes the charge of the light brigade.

If someone is in a bomber I don't need to worry about them sneaking up behind and getting an instant kill or I can choose to ignore the bomber if I wish. If I want to engage the bomber I wont attack it from its 6, I will use a high energy dive on its roof.

This game has several options.
One of them is to join a game session, or not.
Before one choose to join a game session, one has to join a lobby.
Attending the lobby, one can see the settings for the session and other players who has joined the session.
If the settings for the session, or the players are not to your likings, one have the option to leave the game.

For those who are not able to either hear or read messages of sessions settings, or in other ways insist to obstruct other players private sessions and games, please stop doing so.
To those who has issues with other gamers, stop joining their games.

Fly in peace, and enjoy BoP.

I just wish to state that I do not have any issue with rockets per se. If rockets are your bag then get stuck in. What I do have an issue with, and why I originally posted, was the team killing. All this served to demonstrate was the fact that the player firing them had serious issues to want to shoot team mates. I deliberately did not name names in my original post as I just wished to gauge opinion as to what I had observed. Sadly though it got blown out of propotion and led to myself and many other players recieving abuse from the player involved. All this leads me to believe that there are issues outside of this game that perhaps they need to deal with. I would never consider lowering myself to that level and personally abusing them on this forum as most, save for one, are decent, respectful players of the game. I'll do my talking in the air.

I would also like to invite any player who has any issue with me to here and now state as such. I personally believe I try and play this game within the spirit in which it is meant but I have been called a hypocrite by one particular player and would like to know if indeed this is the case or whether it's just sour grapes. I am aware of many of your thoughts already as you have emailed me or messaged me via the psn network and I appreciate your honesty and comments.
Thanks,
a rather pissed off Gilly
