I think it's FUBAR..

Power on.. Green light, yellow light then to flashing red.

It let me do the forced eject but won't go into the menu by holding down power button.

was it a mkI, II or a slimline? because thats how my mkI died it was too expensive to have repaired so i got a new mkII under warrauntee

It's a fat one and they just quoted me £150...

Like you said, not worth it. Pay day is next week so I'm sure I'll survive. I hope.

yes it is the YLOD mine was a 60gb phat one and i decided to put it on ebay and got £85 for it then i got a slim model

yes apparently it you can fix it yourself if you know i didnt. if the security seal is still intact you should get about the same
