Exactly. Thats why I insist that the blue dragon is the only one worth choosing: all other offer bonuses that will be irrelevant later on (+1 attack, for example, is very little when you are at level 50 with 30 attack). That speed boost is useful till the end of the game, if you plan to use dragons.

And it's damn hard to resist the temptation, too. Has been for me, at least.

You make a good point about +1 initiative probably being much better in the long run. The 2% critical attack is another solid one. However, I will rarely choose the same dragon, regardless of the bonus they provide, for the sake of diversity.

Quick question - you have not listed Spiders as Animals... If they are not animals, and they are certainly not humanoids, what the heck are they?

Also, Dragonflies are (for some artifacts and spells) affected as dragons, guess they are related.

Dragonflies = Insects, Spiders=Aracnids xDDDDD.

The bonuses affects level 2+ troops as i remember.

Its weird that the precision spell affects cyclops, cuz cyclops are sniper creatures (same damage on melee and range and no distance penalty) and should not be considered archers at all.

Dragonflies are both animals and dragons I think. I'm not 100% certain, but I know a lot of dragon things effect them.

Spiders are also animals.

All insects and arachnids are animals, afterall. (Though, so would humans, but I think it is more obviously different).

Heh, I knew that, I am a zoologist. Though of course real-life dragonflies are "somewhat" different (they do not spew acid, for example). The dragonflies in KB seem to be a mixture of reptile and insect...

Odd that Cyclops is affected by precision...

Another odd distinction is that Magic Lock is an ability that affects the target's mind, apparently. So while the Necromancer's Magic Lock works on some level 5 units, it won't work on the likes of dragons or the Cyclops.
