You can set a single carrier as and enemt in strike mode. It wont rearm or refuel you but you wont blowup. It will shoot at you for a bit till it runs out of ammo.

Does the carrier landing training mission let you use any jet or just navy ones?

edit; or is that what youve been doing?

How long until it runs out of ammo though?

the scenario mission only lets you use naval jets. Ah well i'll find a way. Had a couple of attempts so far but just cant get the speed to stay down without stalling. Managed to hit the water and when i do get on the deck i plough into the parked F18's

back to the drawing board i guess.

dunno about 4 missiles and a few minutes of minigun ammo.

You havnt forgot about the carrier in arena have you? fly nice n low and you should be able to get their unmolested fairly quick (not so quick in a f1) quicker than waiting for the boat to run out of ammo.

Then if you crash... have to do it all again nightmare.

tru dat. There's not really much point really you'll be able to get it down after a few goes but ain't no way it's stopping in that distance. Might as well just buzz the tower and look for some nice easy A-50 or E-767's to gun down lol. The thing cant even take sparrows ffs. But still, and if canadian was here he'd whole heartedly agree

F1 FTW!

We loves us some F1 matches.

I wouldn't say landing the 33 on a carrier is easy, you need to pretty much master the cobra same for the 22. unless your talking touch'n'go. If you're that good get an F-1 down and stopped on it. pics or it didn't happen

The F35 is probably the easiest. There even a few helipads you can land on in area 3. Most make you explode though lol. Have you seen the mayan jet or samurai tanks?
OUCH nasty challenge. Good luck with that one FOZ!!!!

Good games guys!
Heard the term "flaming fire" on Conan tonight. You know how bad that stuff is. See, I'm not crazy.

Yeah, plus a Vulcan, a Nimrod and thirteen Victors, and a 4,000-mile map to fly them on, right?

Air to air refueling could work on the maps we already have. If i play arena mode online then its impossible to fly from your base to the enemies base and back in an F14 without drop tanks and your afterburners on all the way. Without burners then its fine. Going for the realism which i love and respect. Its upto me to manage my fuel consumption accordingly and check everything is ok. If i have drop tanks and i need to be more manouvrable - jetison them, no matter how much fuel is in them.

This game is superb and cannot be faulted really. Its simple yet very effective. We do seriously need to organise a game between a few of us.
