Very nice video. The airfield and mountains look very good at low level and everything else looks very good at medium, high altitude. Personally I would reserve judgement until I've seen trees, water, and buildings at low level away from the airfield.

Wow, that's beautiful! Also, good choice of music for a chilled-out scenery video. Chivas is right, though, the actual ground textures only look really good at medium altitude. Looks a lot more carefully edited than most, though.

Been watching it again, and i must admit you are right. I thought it looked very good from low altitude when you see the grass of the airfield while the mirage are taxing. But on some moments, also at the beginning, you can see that the textures of the mountain are not so detailed.
Still, from medium altitude, its way better that il2 (old engine and sim), lomac (not so old) and black shark (brand new sim).
What impress me most it how well detailed in number of polygons are the mountains, and how well accomplished are the green, brown and gray colors to give the look of rock, sand, grass fields, snow, and all combines with the roads and houses. Again, its best graphic representation i saw on a sim of real ground, even if it is good only from medium altitude or higher.
The cloud still are awful, they are completely flat.

I disagree, you can have almost the same thing with il2 engine + you can fight other planes

I don't quite agree. But the scenery in the videos was extremely realistic. Huge number of polygons, textures with huge amount of detail, and not just repeating tiles. IL-2 can't do this, but I hope SoW can.

I'd love to see a video from IL-2 that looked as good as that. IL-2's a very old game now, it just can't compete in the scenery stakes with FSX.
