Seems odd to me that the most screwed up flight model in the game would be used in the demo, so it's no wonder that it hasn't sold better. But the bottom line is that BoP just isn't all that realistic, for any of the planes. It is, after all just a video game, not a pilot training aid LoL

I think the opposite is true, if anything. Have you seen the Fighting Woodpeckers or Virtual French Acrobats? Those guys do far more than the Horsemen, because obviously the repercussions of crashing their aircraft are so much less, and because they can advance their engines to historical combat boost pressures without any fear of engine failure. Show me one thing that the Horsemen can do that these guys can't in an IL-2 '51. The IL-2 '51 isn't so bad, apart from some longitudinal instability that might be solved by TD soon.

Thanks man thats a couple of great videos ! Grant it I have never tweaked the p51 in 1946. Are they using a original flight model from 1946 ? or a mod?

The coolest thing I saw the horsemen do was called the 3 rings of death.
They split out of formation and 2 of them do loops where the bottom of the loop is a couple hundred feet off the ground, then the third plane does a Horizontal figure eight in and out of the looping planes, while they pass with in 50 feet of each other at both sides of each looping plane. The p51 doing the figure eight is flying such tight turns that you just can't believe it.

Thanks so much for posting those videos, They have inspired me to spend some time tweaking on the p51 in 1946.

Thanks, Desode

No problem. I'm pretty sure they're the unmodded P-51s, the modded versions weren't out when those videos were released. I think probably the best person to ask about flying the P-51 is [^]X32Wright, look for him on HyperLobby or the Ubi zoo. I think he mentions MissStrega as the person who taught him how to fly it, so if you can find her, she's a good person to talk to as well, but a lot more elusive.

What in the world are you saying, that evil JEWS are conspiring to falsely hype up the performance of the P-51? Thats both incoherent and racist, I hope you're joking.

Also the P-51 was rad, get over it.
