Same problem here. I just cannot get over this mission. I am really frustrated. Why is it so hard? I am just about to give up. I have played this mission about 20 times, shooting 20 - 30 enemies down every turn with no success. If I cannot skip this level or find a chaet to get around it, I'll throw the whole game in a corner and leave it where it is.

Same happened to me on Realistic. Apparently it's impossible on Arcade, but pretty doable on R and S..

Yeah I have found a few missions are easier, your expected to do less, just have to take down 1 or 2 enemes rather than the whole lot
for example, the Sicily one where you start by taking out the 2 ships , I took them out and only 1 plane and completed the mission (hehe was a tough day in the skies)
so maybe pop the dificulty level up guys!!

I've had the game a few weeks. My first real flight sim game(Blazing Angels 2 is the only other flying game I've played). I've managed to do the arcade and realistic campaigns and sim except for this mission and Nuts and Tiger Hunt. I'm having a hard time picking up the Ju52's in sim. Should I be flying higher and trying to pick their silhouettes out over the snow? These 3 campaign missions are really frustrating me plus Escortiing Sturmoviks on the single missions. Any help would be appreciated.EditSorry I've just now located the other thread on this mission)

Oh no, Blazing Angels is the furthest thing from a Sim...
In fact, this game is missing quite a lot to be considered a sim, but the fact that it has a lot of physics involved makes it a more accessible 'sim' game for most players.

In real life, pilots always climbed high up to have an altitude advantage on their enemies. It doesn't hurt to do that here either. Having this alt advantage helps you boom and zoom, and that keeps you safe.

The best thing to do is follow the general direction of the enemy aircraft on the map and when you're just a couple km away, start looking for them in the virtual cockpit view. It also doesn't hurt to do your research; one thing I've found awesome about this game is the accuracy of how pilots act. Around airports, you wouldn't expect to see landing planes at high altitude. At the same time, Ju52's did not fly at high altitudes in WWII. Russian planes, too, did not fly too high, while 109s did, and this is all reflected in the game. So when you're trying to find Ju52's at night, you don't even have to fly high (and in an attack plane like an IL-2, flying high won't help you against quick-climbing 109s) while you can expect British bombers and 109's to be flying at higher altitudes. Thus, flying an IL-2 low but quick will make you less visible to high-flying 109s.

Habs bis zum heutigen Tage nicht geschafft.

Den Support des Softwareherstellers kann man auch in die Tonne werfen !!!!

Muss wohl ein BUG sein , anders ist es mitlerweile nicht erklärbar.
