I hosted about 8 v409m COOPS last night with full 16 slots so there's pilots out there on the standard version just waiting for hosts, the mods are not the be all and end all as far as servers are concerned, I see lots of unmodified pilots on v409m simply waiting for a host.
Most of the conversation on comms is that the v409m flies much smoother and the load times are much faster compared to a modded game.
