Default rescue Pilot mission

Hi,
i`m just trying to complete the mission where u have to rescue another pilot behind enemy lines. The problem is that once I land my spitfire I realize that I don`t know how to start the engine Yeah, I know, it sounds really stupid but I can`t. I`ve got the PS3 version with a Thrustmaster .Flight Hotas X, tried all buttons, the throttle, been reading the instructions booklet (spanish version for me) and I can`t see anything about start engines or even brakes. What am I doing wrong? or am I just plain idiot?

Thx

PD: I`m playing on realistic mode

You have to exit your aircraft and turn the propeller by hand because of the lack of electric starters.

If your engine stopped, you probably landed wrong. There's no way to restart an engine except in flight, diving. Try landing without breaking the prop .

I love sarcasm as much as the next man, but get it right, they HAD electric starters moron.

But yes, try and land smoother to avoid prop damage.
