Default Cockpit sheen?

Just flying around in the La-7...maybe this is because I'm getting so used to the virtual cockpit after flying Axis planes...but the La-7s cockpit is actually pretty hard to see through. Just the glare on the glass of the cockpit, you know? The textures of the planes and the colors used just blend in and honestly I have to use virtual cockpit just to see who I'm tailing.

I only mention this because if there ever is a day where there will be enough cockpits to have a cockpits only mode, and then it might end up just being frustrating fighting the glare of the glass.

After typing this I played a game in a spit. MUCH less glare. So maybe it's just a few planes with this problem.

Hmm, I dont find the glare to be that bad on the La-7... Maybe it's a brightness issue on the settings? lol.

Well depending on the weather conditions and the lighting, there would have been glare in real life too and I imagine in some situations it was really bad too. I personally hope to see eventually enough cockpits for a cockpits only mode. I would like it way better. It just doesn't seem like sim mode with out the options of cockpit only.

I think they went overboard on the glare effects. The brightness doesn't get any lower than zero, so there's no easy fix for this. I, too, got used to flying the 109s and going back to stuff with pits is a pain for trying to see things.

Can this be toned down with an update?

I haven't really noticed the glare in my La-7? Or even other planes that I fly around with; that have cockpits. I'm even playing on 1080, and neither my TV or game brightness is toned down at all.

If it's the case that your flying with the sun behind/front of you, then I can understand. But it shouldn't be so bad all the time. Angle should probably be taken into consideration here? Maybe it's just the way your attacking/running?

I could understand some significant glare from looking into the sun, and maybe from a couple of off angles. But, it seems to happen a lot more often than it should.

If the sun is at my back, I might get a little glare, but it shouldn't necessarily washout the whole windscreen - and not to mention the fricking back of the plane should be casting a nice shadow/blocking the sunlight anyway.

I really like the La 7's pit plus you have great rear visibility which is great for sim mode.
