Question Anton PS3 Multiplayer

Anton, Xbox and PS3 is alot different in multiplayer, is the option going to be added to the ps3 so we can reserve spots for friends so we can have a 1v1 or squadron only match?

When trying to get friends into one room we have to quit the mp game and try again incase people get into the room we don't want.

Thanks

I think you should post this on the dev's forum as well. There's more attention there from the devs themselves, so it's a good place for serious questions .
As for your question, expect a no, no offense, because the devs don't have anything to say about networking.

No offense taken maybe they had two different teams making the mp options up for each console and didn't collaborate enough to make sure the options were the same.
Yes i will post it there as well.
But if it were to be fixed it would done on the devs side because these are things built within the game.

the PS3 cant make private games? lol sucks to be a ps3 owner.....

Maybe get a 360? then not only do you get a better console, and your private matches, but you also get a few more players to play with. Win win. lol.

I wouldn't go so far as to say it is better they both have their ups and downs. And I have plenty of people to play with.

It was a bit of humour. Was trying to lighten the atmosphere round here and just generally get some of the old 360 v ps3 rivalry going.

Sorry.

There's been suggestions about the ability to kick people, that could also solve your problem. But as I said, the dev's team have very little influence on anything that has to do with networking, as far as I understood.

I would say otherwise, to pass a game certifcation for xbox the game must pass a long list of features that microsoft say must be included while game certification for ps3 is more of a general 'major' bugs/epilepsy testing (wipeout hd) and as one my teacher said "electric current is just like you lot (meaning us students), the majority will take the route of least resistance", developers are not different, easiest route is almost always taken.

PS3 has the ability if ya code it, it's just that the PS3 is a more open system, which leaves more up to the creative interests of devs (and, in some cases where the online isn't necessarily the priority, then the electric current analogy is good).

That said, the PS3 online is just fine, and I'm really enjoying it. @ Foz and your rivalry, I know of a lot more people that are happy with the 360 to PS3 transition than the other way around - maybe you should see how the other half lives sometime . I've just gone on long service leave and was considering picking up a 360 to help pass the time, but at this stage I literally have too many great games to play on PS3 to justify it', and I'm about to become a full-time gamer for six months!

That said (and back on topic ) the improvements that have been suggested to _both_ the 360 and the PS3 online are the ones that count - being able to see what rooms are currently made, even if they're in-game, and being able to late join . But as has also been stated, this is apprently outside the hands of the devs, as relies on changes to the network side of things, so we may be out of luck.
