Online Multiplayer

Does anyone know if it possible to create a game online and then only have the friends you invite join in? Absolutely love and respect the fact that anyone and everyone can play together but sometimes me and a few mates just want our own tussle in the skies but always get others joining in! Are we missing something???

You can set a number of 'Private slots' when you create a game. These are slots reserved just for friends. That way you can set up that no one but your friends can join.

So I can do that in the create session section? I've not noticed it before so I will check it out. Does that go for Arcade as well as Realistic and Sim?

from what I've read, You can set up private slots on the Xbox 360 but not on the PS3.

That may explain why we have not seen this option as we are on PS3.

Do you think this maybe changed in the update that is supposed to be happening?

Oh, my bad, didn't know it was different for PS3. Haven't heard anything about it for the upcoming patch. You can try asking it on the developer's forum.

No worries, just checked it out and there is nothing in Create Session on the PS3 for private slots. Seems a shame they did not do this as everyone knows they have groups of mates they want to play with as well as getting stuck into everyone else, would be nice to have the choice. You lucky Xbox chaps!!
