The Spitfire MKI in the game can only get to 25500 ft and the MKIIa to 27700 ft this is not very much more but! |

Mixture mechanisation with regards the Throttle mixture interlink (in the Spits) was fixed in this patch. So its correct that pulling the the throttle back will also pull the mixture lever back as well. Back should be AUTO RICH, Forward should be AUTO LEAN.
Other than Max range flying there really should be any reason why you would want to to be in AUTO LEAN. This is still being looked at by the DEVS. EDIT: Yes Typo in my positions corrected in the Post and underlined. Last edited by IvanK; 08-10-2012 at 12:15 AM. |

Yes, this is what understood to be the case as well. It seems like the Mk Ia and Mk IIa were adjusted to this, but the I was not.

The Spitfire is not 'fixed', it is still undermodelled, same with the Hurricane. What this gives is a better chance vs 109's |

Diamonds in the ruff, but yes who would have known (they must have forgotten to pork these 2 ) even though they are a bit slow compared to what they should be, less over heating etc etc

Better planes. I've tried out the Hurricane DH5-20 and the Spitfire I, both out perform the other types, mainly in climb rate but they also appear to hold energy better. That said the pre-patch Spitfire II was an excellent match for the 109 but this Spitfire I is not quite so good. Stands on it's tail better though.
Anyway, please add them to the bases for Sunday, you're going to get much more of a fight with these ![]() |
