The spit mk 1 (2 stage prop) not a joke

spit mk1 2 stage prop is the plane to fly now

for take off, warm rad temp to 60C then push the throttle and mixtue to 100% together, the engine stutters then spins up.

full fine pitch in climb or when flying slow (can even use fine when high up climbing, to catch the old tactic of the 109 slow but steep climb, just before they roll over stalling) also use fine when turning hard, especially when low. dont be afraid to run extended times at 3000rpm, just watch the temps when you get higher up.

full course pitch when diving, picks up speed like a bat out hell, and keeps it for a while, which means you can chase 109's again.

I not got the mixture quite right yet, however it is modeled the correct way, which means full forward for rich. it comes back down when you throttle back (like the hurri) so when dogfighting low remember to push it forward if you throttle back when throttleing back up.

This plane is a match for the 109 if You practice the 2 stage prop

The dh5-20 is a good plane also

After 3 days flying everyone who i told this to now flies the mk1
happy flying!

Yep, it's supposed to work like that. IIRC the throttle lever physically prevents the mixture lever from passing by it.

pretty sure you have the mixture the wrong war round....

forward (away from pilot) is lean

back ( toward pilot) is ritch

Diamonds in the ruff, but yes who would have known (they must have forgotten to pork these 2 ) even though they are a bit slow compared to what they should be, less over heating etc etc
