[QUOTE=Skoshi Tiger;372798]Does it really matter what the sim was realeased like for you? I would have thought the current state of the game would be what matters? Depending on what your into COD is either fantastic or unfinished.

I have had some of the most immersive online sorties in COD. Other people are lamenting the lack of the original IL-2 co-op interface. I've had a very smooth run, others have had a bad time with bugs and launcher crashes. It's a bit of a mixed bag really.

Is the sim worth it? (I bought the Collectors edition at $120AUD on release plus a steam download that I've passed on to my brother) From my POV it's the best money I've spent. Your mileage may vary!

Same here $120 on day of release and more blown away moments than bummed ones.

Lamenting the fact there is no CooP interface actually

It was the same with ARMA 2 when that first came out it was terrible to I held off buying it and waited for a decent sale and last christmas I brought it and I am really happy with my "mostly" fixed purchase.

The point I am trying to make anyway is that you wouldn't buy a new car from someone who told you that the car doesn't work great at the monent but in a few month's I will send you the parts to fix it.

I like to read forums and reviews and then make my mind up about buying games and in this case I dicided to hold off and wait for those parts and a decent sale.
Yup your in for the long haul on this one.........

Just so you know: For the game to install you need steam. For steam to run you need an internet connection. While installing the game, even from DVD, it updates to the most recent version automatically. There is NO method to roll back the updates.
So in short the answer to the question "if it really matters to you to buy the game now that it's fixed" should be: NO. There is NO unfixed game available anymore so why would it bother anyone?
Also the devs have said they will continue to support the game. To be frank with you I'm fairly knowledgable with games and own a ton, and I mean a ton of games. I haven't seen many games with support close to the Maddox game series. If you really expect more then you're not made for this planet, I'm serious.

That said I must say I'm surprised. Just typing in the name into a search machine brings up numerous deals for around 10 bucks...
For example, since someone mentioned getgamesgo: 9,99, trustworthy shop by the way
10 bucks for a flight sim?! Rise of Greed, eh Rise of Flight, sells a single plane for 10 bucks and still people whine about CoD. This is just sad to be honest.
