Ya. They really should consider remaking this quest.
The shield is excellent. The runes are "so-so". The gold is horrible. I'd much rather see some race restricted items, equal to the shield. Dwarf shield: +8 defense +1 morale to dwarfs Human lance(?) +4 attack +3 defense +1 speed and initiative to cavalry (?) Elven chain mail: +3 int +3 defense +20% resistance to magic (?) Just to add some class specific items
