Also missing bridges cant be substituted for say a hanger because of the AI avoidence...

UR right. This my workaround.
Set vehicle group to approach bridge.
Set proximity trigger for entry of vehicle group to trigger appearance of new group on other side of bridge and then first group to disappear. Only thing is you don't see it actually cross bridge, but from the air this is not a biggie.
Another problem, i did not find the way to stop the second group triggering if the bridge is destroyed. that should be possible.
