Pretty amazing how well it was preserved in the mud, even the paint job with numbers.
Has 'Ostketten' on it, widened tracks for better going in mud/snow. Guess it was a bit too much for those tracks however...

How is it after all this time the vehicle isn't covered in rust. Is it the lack of oxygen in the damp soil or something ?

There is a sunken German U boat from the war off the coast here. It is a popular dive sight, and the last report I read maybe 20 years ago, stated that there was still no marine growth on her.
