Saw that a couple of years ago. Would have made a great fossil one day if they'd left it in the mud.

Not a tank .. no turrent, its a StuG assault gun. Very effective weapon for the Germans and cheap to produce.

Pretty amazing how well it was preserved in the mud, even the paint job with numbers.
Has 'Ostketten' on it, widened tracks for better going in mud/snow. Guess it was a bit too much for those tracks however...

Seen this before somewhere. Prepare yourselves for a shock....they cut it up for it's scrap value!

How is it after all this time the vehicle isn't covered in rust. Is it the lack of oxygen in the damp soil or something ?

Its worth more as scrap in the world everyone else lives. For us WWII junkies we would try to look for parts on Google.
