yup. its a fairly amazing piece of technology i don't understand it 100%. data is streamed in/out as needed.

it is just alpha until someone uses it as their game engine though. many many tools needed to make a game around it are needed and the devs of outerra have said as much.

it is however really amazing.

This was mentioned regarding Cliffs of Dover back when it was Storm of War.
A couple years ago, at least, it was this program or something similar.
It is impressive that they were running those demos on a Core2Duo and an 8800GTS.
