Huh? I'm aware they're blackouts but I had heard that they were not in the game so I'm wondering if the fact that they now are means that have already done some work on the game?

They have always been in the game... but you the threshold was 10x higher than normal. So, in the non-updated game, you CAN get a blackout, if you really try to get one .
Once the game is updated, you will get them, litterly, 10 times as easy as now

And no...there is no update yet , try to follow this link:http://forum.yuplay.com/index.php?showtopic=13
I suppose the date of the title update will be announced there, as soon as they know what it is going to be

Actually this should also do away with some of the ridiculous turning fights that are happening even in realistic and sim, man these blackouts/redouts are essential to the realism, I hadn't really thought about the over all effect...

... and this cannot happen soon enough. I've gotten tired of turn, turn, turn, turn, ad infinitum. Bring on some strategy and tactics... although that will mean many deaths for me. LOL

Personally, I'm betting on there being a small patch to fix bugs, and then a separate optional DLC that costs money which will add cockpits and some other content.

Microsoft very rarely allows new content of any kind to be given away for free by companies who develop for the 360. And they try to keep game patches small because a lot of users have a 360 Arcade without a hard drive and little memory space available.

THe 360 Arcade is now discontinued by MS and is no longer part of there sales lineup. And the actual sales of HDD's to the sales of 360 consoles (discounting those sold with HDD's) is almost on par, so the majority of owners have an HDD of some capacity.

As for the patch and DLC; Thats already a given, the dev team said this over a fortnight ago. There will be a patch and then a proposed DLC pack.
