Multiplayer questions

Hi,

I'm thinking about buying men of war, but I mainly want to play multiplayer battles, so here are some questions.

1. Wich game has the most multiplayer battles, men of war, or the stand-alone expansion red tide? I read some reviews, wich said Red tide didn't add a whole lot and wasn't better then men of war, but since I mainly want to play multiplayer, I was just wondering wich game you need to own to play the most multiplayer.

2. Are there any clans/teams out there that still recruit people and battle against each other? I player World in conflict for sometime, and I really enjoy the cooperation and planning required for these multiplayer battles.

3. Last question, kind of hard to answer I guess, but how hard is it too get up to speed with the more experienced players, since this game is rather old?
I have quite some experience with strategic games, and can mirco ok, not very fast tho.
But what's the difficult level of multiplayer play currently and how complex is this game, considering I have average intelligence.
