Us old farts have a hard time remembering numbers. LOL Still, even if it is 4GB's, that's huge. 8GB is definitely out of the question. My city has primordial internet service, and won't be upgrading in the foreseeable future. How many times have you (generic you) heard of peoples download being corrupted due to large files and slower connections.

I've downloaded some of the mod packs for IL2, and there hasn't been a time where I don't get corruptions.

I'm confident it'll show up in boxed editions. I'm not really worried.... but just in case, I'm stating my objections.

I think that best option would be to pay for the boxed game and while waiting to get it via post, to be able to download it from day 1.

Why would anyone, who wants the boxed version, have to wait until post comes?

The same thing is happening with music and aps here in Australia, our dollar is worth the same as the USD but we are paying double the price. The only way to change things is to speak up. If I don't get a good answer from UBI I will buy from overseas or wait till the game hits the bargain box.
1st:
We live in a globalized world.
If want to watch to the end of my favorite TV series, because they are behind schedule in my country, I can order it from the US or Canada.
I can refuse to pay some crazy price for a PC part since I can order it from Honk Kong, only takes about 7 days.

Seriously where's your problem?!
Just call Ubi, they may share your POV or not - if the don't; just get it somewhere else.

Ubisoft Games: 1902 262 102, calls to this number are charged at $2.48 per minute, lines available 9am - 6pm Mon - Fri (excluding Public Holidays)

DL-Version
Why would you want to buy it in (which is joke, the server could anywhere on the planet) Australia?
If I go for the DL, version I'll buy it the UK.
Unless there's a IP restriction...

Ubishop (for DL version) will automatically redirect to the homepage for your area...
ie typing for UK from Australia will redirect to Australia page

$2.48/ min to whinge at them?? you gotta be kidding there was a landline number listed on another post smewhere

but if it turns out that UBI won't release the boxed version to AUS, it may turn out that shipping it in to be the only option (an expensive option though).

In Canada, I can't find the Collector's edition but the download is $49.95, and right now the American, Australian and Canadian dollars are within 2% of each other, so why $89.95 in Autralia ?

I doubt that's really a collector's edition.

According to the poll 90% of us want a hard copy, so maybe Ubisoft should pay a little attention to the preferences of their paying customers, you know, the people whose money keeps them in a job! Or do they figure that we will order it from overseas, which saves them shipping costs and makes the Post Office more profits. I just hope they release enough Collectors sets to accomodate all the overseas orders.

Trying to order CoD from Australia via an overseas UBI site always re-directs you back to the UBI Australia. I even went as far as to use Tor to trick the site and was able to place an order but when selecting the shipping country as Australia, it simply cancels the order.

I don't mind paying what the Australian price is, but I'm not stupid. I recently got Dead Space 2 for $20 less on STEAM than what the local retailers were offering.

What I'm pissed at is that no-one outside of Europe will get the collectors edition, which to me makes no sense.
