Why do you play CLOD
For me it has to be the buzz of knocking down an enemy aircraft and watch it spiral downwards before slapping into the ice cold sea down below..
Flying a desperate bombing raid to be pursued by enemy fighters... but most of all I look to the future, there are lots of great things to come! |

I am hooked cause I love WWII birds and aerial battles (like BoB, MTO and generally all WF scenarios. Not so interested in the PTO and definitely not in the ETO mood at all)... And CloD is pretty much the only supposedly "next gen" option we have available. Regards. Last edited by jg27_mc; 12-03-2011 at 12:57 PM. |

I fly it because I love the era, the experience of flying against another opponent win or lose, the sounds, the sights, the history. To try and put myself in the shoes of the men I admire and to try and get as close to their experience as I possibly can, although I am sure there can be no comparison, I still feel the excitement of virtual combat.

Because it's the only way for me to experience flying a 110 well, after FB/46.

I love the era, I love the planes, trains, cars and ships from the 30s and 40s and I love to kid myself I am a fighter pilot. It matters not if I am an ace or a target. Indeed coming out on top occasionally comes as a pleasent suprise. Also, when it comes to WWII air combat sims there is nothing that comes close to the stuff the IL2 people produce and I doubt there ever will.
