Why do you play CLOD
For me it has to be the buzz of knocking down an enemy aircraft and watch it spiral downwards before slapping into the ice cold sea down below..
Flying a desperate bombing raid to be pursued by enemy fighters... but most of all I look to the future, there are lots of great things to come!:) |
Because its the greatest WWII flight simulator available.
|
Because it's the only way for me to experience flying a 110 ;) well, after FB/46.
|
I can't afford a replica 109. ;)
|
Because I like the Il2 people. Well, most of them :D.
|
I love the era, I love the planes, trains, cars and ships from the 30s and 40s and I love to kid myself I am a fighter pilot. It matters not if I am an ace or a target. Indeed coming out on top occasionally comes as a pleasent suprise. Also, when it comes to WWII air combat sims there is nothing that comes close to the stuff the IL2 people produce and I doubt there ever will.

To recreate historic battles /events, to see if changed circumstance may have had dramatic effects!

Because it hurts so good. I'm a glutton for punishment and enjoy nothing more than being repeatedly stabbed in the eyes with the rusty scissors of its shocking ineptitude. Let those 500lb bombs of failure reign, baby! Ka-booom! :grin:Oh wait, I can't even drop them in some missions. Never mind.
BTW....I'm taking the *bleep* in case anyone takes computer games too seriously. ;) I've had plenty fun with it to be fair, not all bad by a long shot. Got good vibes about the next patch as I'm actually an incorrigible optimist.....but we'll see. ;) Keep the faith. |
One word:
Realistic . Every sim I have tried there always seems to be a bit of "Arcade" in it. Still want to do night ops, as well as crummy weather. Denis/Knuckles |
