Default PC Pilot Review

There's very nice coverage of CoD in the current issue of PC Pilot. Thankfully, due to editorial deadlines, they didn't have time to do a proper review but promise to do so in the next issue. So, a positive reviewette for now and hopefully a glowing one in the next issue.

I'm gonna stick up for PC Pilot here.
The last issue of the mag was released at about the same time as the game was released in the UK and the mag is only published every 2 months.

Have to admit though, that I cant see PC Pilot slating the sim even if they want to seeing as they would be sort of cutting their own nose off to spite their face (or summat like that! )

Good. Because in Custom PC magazine they reviewed it and gave it 35%. That means everyone thinks it's XXXXX and won't buy it or try it. I would have preferred that they didn't review it at all and did so later - that way we may have more people trying CFS genre. Still, if you prefer to have a nice rant to somehow proove a point that everyone else already knows then go ahead.

Regarding the article, I was rather hoping that it was scanned or copied out here so we could read it, not a pointless photo to show that it exists.

I'll take anything that PC Pilot Magazine says with a grain of salt and I've purchased the magazine for many years from Barnes & Noble.

This is also the same magazine that gave FSX a glowing 95% review upon its release. Anybody who's been around the MS FS block knows that FSX was a performance mess upon release, plagued with coding problems, landclass issues, etc. It took two major patches to get the darned thing playable.

PC Pilot is in it to make money, nothing more, nothing less.

Do positive reviews magically solve the bugs and performance issues? If so, i anxiously wait for a glowing one too!

Do 0/100 scores fix them any better or does the angry mob want victims?

Face it ppl: if your rig is not a relatively modern 'gaming pc' it you have issues with the performance. If you got the horsepower you can get a lot out of the CloD!

Sure, bugs remain and extra content would be great and all but in all honesty I've already received my 40€ worth! Most AAA titles cost more and they're over in 18 hours or so, I've got close to hundred and it's getting better and better with each patch.

So go suck your thumbs somewhere else.
