goto game folder parts/core/GUI and rename the logo video to something else.

mine is "-logo.wmv"

Each time you patch the game you have to re-do this

Look for:

E:\Steam\steamapps\common\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover\parts\core\GUI

Where you replace the "E:\Steam" part (which is where I have Steam installed) with wherever you have installed Steam... I think the default is "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam" on Windows 7.

Right click the Steam icon on you desktop and select "properties" if you don't know where it is. Look at the field "Start in" for the path to Steam.

it won't load the game faster though.
You'll spend the same time waiting in front of a black screen.

The issue isn't wanting to load the game faster. The issue is that Ubi logo causes a fairly serious bug on several people's systems, where the PC fails to recognize Dover as a 3D application and therefore doesn't fire up the graphics card like it should. Disabling that logo gave me a huge performance increase.

Ubi, not content with screwing up the production of the game at its most critical crunch time with their epilepsy filter nonsense, still not content with their utterly incompetent failure at promoting the game, now taking steps to damage the game after you've already bought it. Class act, those guys.

You're unlikely to receive an official answer but renaming the logo won't show up in any anti-cheat software and Steam certainly won't care if you remove the logo. It's not checked.

Well I found it, changed the name to "-logo" and that's when the new round of trouble started. It kept losing the realism settings and I was getting constant crashes requiring task manager closure.
Renamed it to logo again and it was back to (what is classed as) normal for this game. So once again back to RoF until (if) they get it (CoD) playable.
