How to disable the UBI screen???
Can anyone tell me how to do this...
Thanks, |
goto game folder parts/core/GUI and rename the logo video to something else.
mine is "-logo.wmv" Each time you patch the game you have to re-do this :) |
I cannot find thesae files manually or by the search functions?????

E:\Steam\steamapps\common\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover\parts\core\GUI Where you replace the "E:\Steam" part (which is where I have Steam installed) with wherever you have installed Steam... I think the default is "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam" on Windows 7. Right click the Steam icon on you desktop and select "properties" if you don't know where it is. Look at the field "Start in" for the path to Steam. |
Thanks Mazex, I will check it out tomorrow when I flash the PC up.
|
it won't load the game faster though.
You'll spend the same time waiting in front of a black screen. |

Ubi, not content with screwing up the production of the game at its most critical crunch time with their epilepsy filter nonsense, still not content with their utterly incompetent failure at promoting the game, now taking steps to damage the game after you've already bought it. Class act, those guys. |
I only want to know if I can disable this crap logo and go online without the fear of have my STEAM account banned...
I want to hear some OFFICIAL answer about that, please! |

Well I found it, changed the name to "-logo" and that's when the new round of trouble started. It kept losing the realism settings and I was getting constant crashes requiring task manager closure.
Renamed it to logo again and it was back to (what is classed as) normal for this game. So once again back to RoF until (if) they get it (CoD) playable. |
