Well, your old card may-have been able to run Il-2 maxed, so the only difference would be in fps...

The old card was an ATI Radeon HD 4200, philip.ed. I don't think that would have run at max.
Have you run il2setup.exe again since you installed the new card, Aeron? This will enable you to change settings. For help with this see here: http://mission4today.com/index.php?n...p=show&kid=228 |

Don't forget to remove the old drivers and dll's first before changing cards..even when it's the same brand.

I have found that graphics card updates show little difference in Il2 where as a CPU update makes a big difference.

I didnt uninstall and reinstall game yet.
And as far as uninstalling old graphics card drivers. I didnt have to take out my old card. It there was no card in the slot or anywhere on mother board for that matter that I could find. This made me think that I didnt have any previous drivers that I needed to uninstall. and yes I had a hd 4200 and it came stock If you think I should uninstall the drivers for my new graphics card and try and uninstall any other drivers, would you let me know kindda where to go to do that. |

Is your video cable plugged into the new card ?(ie did you unplug it from the motherboard)
If not you're still using the onboard graphics. |
