Guys im just about to build myself a new Rig, any recommendations plz
1,000 to spend, maby manage a bit more
I want i7 build,
Dual graphics
8-12 gig memory
help me out plz

Judging from recent news i5 2500 overclocked to 4/5GHz

I would go dual chip rather than dual gpu, new ones are expensive but you can get 5970's for £300.

6-8 Gigs max atm, games don't need more than that.. only professional CAD, stress and video software need that much..

Forget the dual gpu. I had two Ati 5770 in CF and OC´d and yes I had great power for little money, but when the game did not use CF I was in trouble. I had to sell the cards and get Ati 6970 2gb because of IL2 not supporting CF.

As Krupi said 6gb of RAM is enought for games. Yes you can buy more, but it helps nothing if you don´t multitask heavily or do some videoediting or something. Plus even if you bought 6gb and noticed it is not enought it is cheap to buy more later.

And on the processor side I5 is the choise for you. I7 is slower one of the two (until they release the new I7´s at later this year) 2500 or 2600 depending on you budget. And do yourself a favor and buy a good aftermarket cooler. Less noise and you can OC those I5´s like no other. For example Noctua NH-D14 is a good aircooler. It´s not the only one but for my liking it is the best (went from stock 2.66ghz to 4.1ghz and still same temperatures with my I7 920).

be careful P67 motherboard are dual channel not triple channel so it's 2x2Gb or 2x4Gb

FXF 6970 2 Gig VRAM $350
Cooler Master HAF 932 Case $139 (Has LARGE fans that make almost no noise)
RaidMax RX 850 AE PS $119 (I Heard mixed reviews about the "Maker" but have seen good reviews on this particular PS and hasen't had an issue)
Scythe SCMG-2100 Sleeve CPU Cooler $39 Big.. I mean BIG! But almost silent and keeps my CPU at 38' under load so how can you argue?

So if you are short of cash you could get the Mobo, CPU, RAM and a new Power SUpply for about $650 US (Assuming prices are what they were a few weeks ago) Carry over your DVD/HDD or get new ones, they are alsmot free at this point..

The big expense will be the G Card.. It was 1/3rd of my purchase price.

Also a word of advice.. if you are "saving up or trying to buy things a piece at a time, buy RAM whenever its cheap... everything else, and I mean everything will cost the same or less if you wait.. you are better off buying it all in a big lump when you are ready..

I'd go i5 and use the extra $100 towards your graphics card..you won't regret it for games..

For the MOBO read the Hard OC review of the MSI P67A-GD65.. After I installed everything I booted it up with fingers crossed.. entered BIOS, loaded Defaults.. then installed my Win 7 64 Bit OS (I'd recommend it.. you can get it for about $99 at New Egg)

Once I was done.. I shut down the PC, opened the case and pressed a button on the board that lit a little LED.. closed case and rebooted.. it automatically OD'd my system to a safe 4.2 Gigs without ever having to touch a BIOS option.. Very very easy.
