Lag and Machine Specs

Hello.

I should start by stating I have downloaded the latest .dll files and I am running the latest Nvidia drivers for my 8800GTS 320. I have also read through the various threads regarding stutters etc.

However, I am just curious... with my machine specs should I be able to run the game in "perfect" mode? In perfect mode the game suffers from some serious lag, in fact it is unplayable. I am assuming my CPU is the culprit.

Just looking for some feedback.

P4 3.0GHz.
Nvidia 8800GTS 320MB.
2GB Corsair matched memory.
