Default Squadron Letters

Oleg,
looking at this weeks update, the squadron letters for 32 squadron don't look right: here are some pictures to compare

I think the difference is clear. Is this something which can be changed? I know that in FMB you had modelled different camo schemes and similar things, but have you modelled different sizes for the squadron codes and the roundels?
Thanks in advance.

and on my Hurricane Aces book

although the letters look unusually large compared with these

Yes, not the most credible example, but it looked accurate enough to me
I checked it against my Hurricane Aces book, too, which matches period pictures very well. Unfortunately, googling for pictures didn't turn up any period ones which showed the codes fully
However, there are loads at the Hawkinge Battle of Britain museum, and they all show these oversized codes.

Just noticed that the underwing roundels on the picture that I posted are wrong, too.

IF they use the same technique as they did with IL-2, duplicates of actual 3D model poligons, it highly depends on which poligons they chose to use.

Therefor what we seen in that screenshot might already be the extent of what is possible due to limits of the "poligon canvas".

I hope not, for a current sim that would be dissapointing, especially considering that a 5-year old sim (BoB2) was able to pretty much model every skin which appeared in the BoB.

The question is if BoB2 uses different skins for each plane or only certain areas. The IL-2 method has the advantage of reduced file size an it being independent from the skin file itself. Therefor I do belive it is a sound system.
