Default A way to tell that Il2/BoB is SO popular

This Il2 forum ALWAYS has so many people viewing it compared to the other forums here at 1C. Out of the nearly 15 games that have forums here, a lot of the time those other games have one or two people on those forums, THIS one always has so many people here at any one given time. It just goes to show that Il2 and BoB are so well liked by the fans that Oleg has accumulated over the years. The same goes for the UBI forum. That is a VERY active forum as well. I have never seen such an active forum as that one, and so helpful...and this forum compared to the others here at 1C...Oleg, you should be so proud of what you have created, and the large fan base you have made. There really are a lot of people that love Il2 and are so excited to see how great Sow:BoB will be.

It took long time for people to realize that IL2 series has quality written all over it. I wish there was more boxes of 1946 in local stores....

Same at Simhq.

Another feature is that I posted a list of the "great sims" along with videos on a couple of unrelated forums and the only feedback I got back was people approving of listing Il-2 and adding their praise for Oleg Maddox.

This sim was so far ahead of it's time that TODAY.... if you get new hardware.. you may still find something new that you didnt see or hear before.... think about that.. with the way that technology expands...

Then consider what we may have with BoB...

Exactly!! it's really amazing, almost scary how good it is and how high the bar has been set. Expectations for BOB are high indeed, we will run that sim maxed out in maybe 2015

I can't remember a game that has been eagerly awaited by so many people for such a long time. I agree with Bearcat about it being so far ahead of it's time.

If we end up with a sim that makes us feel even close to being there, it'll be worth it...

I remember a post on the Ubi board from way back when the game first hit the stores. It went something like:

WAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!! IF SIMS CAN LOOK THIS GOOD NOW, WHAT WILL THEY BE LIKE IN 10 YEARS TIME!!!!!!

Well soon... we'll find out.

The IL2 forums are so popular because all the other forums everyone is busy playing the game, and with IL2 everyone is to busy posting on the forums

That and tweaking the game trying to get it to run smoothly. Don't get me wrong, I really enjoy the game but perfect it ain't. After almost eight years it's still not a game you install and just play. It takes a lot of trial and error to get it running right, IMO. I appreciate the difficulties of setting up a game to run on many different computer systems and I appreciate the many patches we've gotten over the years to correct problems. Hopefully BoB:SoW will run great out of the box. I'll believe that when I see it.
