system upgrade for the computer challenged

Hi guys this is what i have,


Win 7b 32 ultimate
intel 6420 dual core at 2.13ghz
nvidia gt220
ausus 24 inch (new)
thermaltake 1200w(new)
3 gig of ram
I dont know my motherboard

i have been doing a little research and bear in mind i dont really know what i'm doing but i have come up with this so far and also this will have to be a budget upgrade for around the $550 mark,

Amd 3 x6 1090t cpu
AsRock Fatal1ty 990FX-Pro motherboard
radeon 1g powercolor 6850 video card which i will add another in crossfire at a later and more financial time.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.As you can see from my current specs i cant play my brand new copy of CLOD.And the saddest thing in the world is a grounded pilot
