Good News
I run a clean 4.09beta install with the patches and never had any of all the problems that have been mentioned since when these drivers were put online, except for:
1) Flickering shadows with SLI but this is not an issue any more as I went back to a non SLI solution.
2) Blinking polygons exactly as mentioned in this thread. It was only seldom (so not too much disturbing) and light blue flicker. I did not have white or other polygons flicker except on the fuselage and with shades of light blue.
But I have good news even excellent news. After very testing in the pacific theater with various airplanes and also with the track KI versus B24 I can confirm that with the Nvidia GeForce GTX280 board from Asus running drivers WHQL 177.41 there is no more flickering polygons at all. I can even say that the tvisual exture rendition quality on Hellcats for example are excellent. But it is true that I use very high settings.
Crazyivan now you "only" (maybe with some help from Nvidia) have to check what is the difference between these new drivers and other drivers for 8800 boards (before I had a 8800 ULTRA with drivers WHQL 175.19) and you probably may find the solution.
