I don't see any documentation - aka "plenty of info" - here, just the usual specualtion that everything was purrrfect - especially when the said idea comes from a "contributor" who never even have had tried the actual thing in the sim.
The issue may be still legit, but without knowing what were the real cooling properties of the Spitfire Mk. I/II and what are the cooling properties as modelled in Clod compared to the real thing, we are just wasting time.
