The battle for sibuyan sea (part of leyte gulf yes?) the japanese fleet was sighted and attacked by torpedo bombers and dive bobmers aswell as fighters... hellcats. Im sure i distinctivly remember this.

I just dont have strong knowledge of this theatre at all so to be honest i dont have a leg to stand on. Im prob wrong though. I just remember thinking how odd it was that hellcats were straffing ships with MG's etc.
