Fantasy WW2 flight sim
OK, here's the scenario a developer has made the perfect ww2 combat flight sim just for you. The graphics are photo perfect the FMs are spot on. It's super immersive and you have the control set up of your dreams.
The only thing is that you can choose only one flyable plane and only one theater of battle. What would you choose? |

109 eastern Front.
41-45, in 45 also including the western front. Works for me  |
The struggle over the vast plains of the Soviet Union, fast and furious battles where the enemy is easy to find never to high in the sky, no big bombers to escort or to attack, from dogfights between two fighters to the big battles with more than hundred planes one engine or two engines.
A front where the quality of the pilot is maybe more important than the plane he flies. Where you can have sunny skies and snow covered ground in the north, sandy ground and thundery skies in the south. Where there are great plains and also hills, cities, marshlands and forest without limits. But every front has is qualities. |

Hs 129 B-2 - Eastern Front
If I had to limit it to one operation I'd choose the Battle of Kursk. |

I'd want a plane that can do a bit of everything, so probably P-38 over the pacific.

Plus I like how stable a counter-rotating prop aircraft is. ...and can the 190 carry rockets, 2x2000LBS bombs or droptanks to give it a massive range? |

Alternative choice, the night bombing campaign over Europe. Pathfinder Mosquito or a LW night fighter, preferrably a Ju88, because i just love those multi-role birds. I could also see myself in a Lancaster. The reason i like this is because it would be like playing a combination of IL2 and silent hunter: you get to fly airplanes, but you are blind most of the time and you have to play the whole cat and mouse game with sensors just like in a submarine sim, it's just that things happen faster. Plus, it's probably the only combination of theater/scenario that has never been implemented in a flight sim. |
I can't decide ...
1943 European Western Front FW-190A6. 1944 Germany Home Defence FW-190D9 1944 Russian Front FW-190 F8 |

Me-110/Ju-88/HE-219 night fighter campaign with working radar and shrage(sp?) musik, ground plotters, and Mosquito intruders. Of course, you would also need British bombers to shoot at, flak, search lights.
