DB605 those shots are old shots pre yesterday patch ? The top small image is new isnt it ? looks like the small shot is new engine, large shots old too me.

First two are old (small and large), other two large images are new.

Correction, it's a HD69XX bonus feature!

In terms of lighting, & overall graphics aswell as sound & performance, the current COD is still leaps & bounds away from Rise of Flight. This is not to say I'm slagging COD & the efforts of it's team as I am sure that this sim will, in the near future; have it's day. It's just a long way off atm ;)

No, first 2 are old and last 2 are new. According the text above his screenies. ;-)

But, ain't that ironic?
You are so mesmerized by the fantastic new lighting effects that it made you start this topic...but you can't see the difference yourself.

It's probably why Luthier didn't post before/after screenshots other than a one line in the change log as it was rather minor.

To be fair though, the first two pictures demonstrate the lighting better because of the way they are set up. It's not really a fair comparison to compare all 4 pictures, because they are all from different angles and, additionally, the ones taken on the new patch look as though they are from a different time of day altogether.

A quick attempt to get a similar shot, the sun is a bit higher in the after shot which makes it look a bit lighter but you can clearly see a lot more blue and thus pink in it.

Things are improving but the immersion killer right now, graphically speaking, is the flickering shadows everywhere.

no its not ironic i can tell the exact differences. tbh maybe they are all old pictures the extra bloom around the glass is the new graphics imo. but thats the only thing i can take from those pics, none of them are really showing the new effects.and also have you cleared your shader cache out ?. because i wouldnt be suprised if that was causing some issues.

TOP Moth pics BTW ! whhoooyeahh !

BTW THE FLAK WORKS ! just had 3 of my wellies shotdown and 1 spit from my group from anti aircraft guns.
