I tried the lower resolution and Yuck !!!! it was like a arcade game.
I think my issue is that I am really new: and will have to learn how to spot. probably much like the real pilots had to learn Denis |
I'm playing on 1680x1050 (native resolution) on a 22inch LCD.
Up until four days ago, my dot visabilty was absolutly attrocious. I was always at a disadvantage in multiplayer without labels. Over about 200 metres way I could not see an E/A, and I had no hope of tracking a fast moving plane against the ground. I happened to mention it on teamspeak and One of the guys asked me if I had calibrated my monitor, the answer to which was "no". 5 minutes later after using the windows 7 screen calibration utility and it has transformed my game. I can actually see the dots way out into the distance and I can track aircraft against the terrrain which was impossible for me to do before. Make sure you have calibrated your monitor and give it a go with native resolution before reducing your resolution for visibility purposes. Cheers! |
S!
I have a LG 30" LCD with 2560x1600 native. Can't see poopie with it, but the game is so pretty that I can't lower the res :) With 90 fov (and higher) I can read the instruments clearly, but usually I spot enemy ac when they start firing at me :) |
