this game needs fixing BADLY
the crash bug or whatever is taking all potential fun out of the game , you cant even play 2 of the modes of the game without throwing your controller through the TV.

I see anton get on this forum almost every day , but he never posts . He needs to let us know where the patch is at this point so we can tell the uninformed when to look forward to it!

Im at the point where im just going to start playing other games and i dont want that to happen because this , while flawed , is the best game that i have played in a while

the devs ARE fixing the game, plz just give them some time, it is not a large dev team, and MS and sony are also not speeding up to get a fix online.(they take 2-3 week to certify a update)

The devs are actually some of the better ones out there. They read the forum (especially http://forum.yuplay.com/index.php?showforum=7 that one, because this one is also more about discussing missions etc).
and they really do listen to complaints. Just check the 'title update' topic on that side. the biggest flaws are being adressed soon, and thanx to them listening to us, they are also going to fix things like the P-51 flight model.
I think it is really great that many respondses of the devs include: we will look into it. And they really do :)

Dont think they are not doing anything to fix the game, they really are :).
I hope the first fix will show up soon :), and I think it will.

A bit more heads up on the release date of the title update couldnt hurt though ;).

I tend to repeat a post I've put in one of your threads on the other forum: Are you actually paid for starting random threads? I mean seriously, I don't mind anyone starting threads, but something this obvious? The dev team is probably busy fixing the game, instead of reading posts where people ask why they're not fixing it.

Aye, also keep in mind that these things take time - you've gotta code it, test it, find bugs (there are _always_ bugs), fix them, test it, find bugs, fix them, run it past Sony and MS QA, then release it. Sony and MS can take a couple of weeks in and of themselves. I'd much rather they took a little while and got it right, rather rushed it and made a mistake.

And if you play another game while you're waiting, is that a huge issue? I've stopped playing MP BoP for the moment (I'm in Aus, there's virtually no-one on in my timezone, and I'm tired of 1v1s which you have to wait 5-10 mins for), but I'll jump back on and try it once the patch comes out. I'm working through the single-missions on Sim and Realistic (realistic for some of the ground-attack - anyone who's finished that first Stalingrad mission in the evening on sim has my utmost admiration for their flying and spotting skills!), there's _plenty_ of gameplay there (and replayability too - the channel dogfight is epic :)).

Id rather wait for them to get as much stuff included in the update as possible. Rushing things is probably why we are here in the first place so just be patient and let them do their thing.

This Goat needs a patch before he blows a blood vessel in his brain while losing 6 kills to crashes in a team battle.

Happened yesterday... Lord knows how many choice words came out of my mouth that match. I had to take a couple of hours off the game to cool off. (Or maybe the Goat just needs to grow up and realize that it's just a game.)

Anyways, I'm just really happy to see that the devs are listening to us.

I've been playing sim mode a lot more lately PS3 and noticed alot of the guys are being good sports I chased this 109 really low and was peppering him up good for a few minutes and he could have dove to the deck but never did. I love sim mode now.

But yes it does suck not to get the kill. I have noticed a few times I have been shot and couldn't roll or elevate after taking a few hits and I would fly it out (like I always do) and they get the kill.

If I can't turn good without stalling after being shot, I will fly level so they get their kill.

I rarely play a match where anyone crashes intentionally. Nearly everyone I fly with is a great sport.

It just sucks to lose your kill when you render a plane unflyable.

I must lose 1/3 to 2/3's of my shoot downs to 'crashes', I've learnt to live with it while muttering 'wait till the update comes' every time a plane I've shot up badly rolls into a terminal dive and just 'crashes' .

I only found out a while ago that MS charges devs for patches. They probably say they need it for certification and bandwidth fees. They do allow the dev's first patch/update as a free one. So we do want them adding as much as possible to this patch because it may be our only one if MS want money for any future updates.

anton REALLY needs to adress the community on what stage the patch is in , because i would rather them submit whatever they have now just to get the point thing fixed then have to wait for shit like ps3 joystick support

I posted a simular topic on the dev forum: http://forum.yuplay.com/index.php?showtopic=55

plz read 2nd post in the topic, posted by 'InfiniteStates'
He has a very good point there.

But like I said there, it would be nice to know what is going to be in the first title update. there a only a few items mentioned in the 'title update' topic, but the devs have said 'fixed that' to 10 other items.

Are these also going to be in the first title update? or will it come in later ones

I could swear Anton mentioned something a while back about how the title update or whatever first patch/dlc is handled free by MS, but after that they have to pay and go through testing. Something like that. That's why they should wait and get all the bugs listed that they can and try to knock them out at once. After that it becomes a money issue.
Pretty sure he mentioned that somewhere around here a few months ago.

...or I could have dreamed it all. :-P

You don't even know if it's being delayed because of the ps3 stick support.

thats not the point , the fact is nothing is more important than fixing the crash bug , its between whats keeping this game alive and it dying out 2 weeks from release

I'm sorry to say he's got a point. However, since it costs the devs money to get an update through Microsoft, they'll want to implement as much as they can, not split it up. An approximate release date would be a gift from heaven though... I know, I know, it'd be marketing suicide, but still..

I dont want a realese date , i just want anton to post on the forums and re assure us thats its coming and in what timeframe we can expect it.

just telling us that its been sent to microsoft would be fine , because once its at cert it could take anywhere from a day to 2 weeks for it to be online

Kind of what I meant with an approximate release date. And, as I said before, this would be marketing suicide. Even though there's a lot of people that would love to know which month it'll be released, if they are 2 weeks late everyone would start complaining and whatnot. It's the same problem they have now with the forums: they were pretty active in answering questions at the start, and look what they got now: random people starting useless topics about where they are. I mean, how many game developers are there that have been as active in answering questions and trying to solve problems as Anton & co. have been doing?
Bottom line: I would love to have an approximate release date, but I understand they don't want to be hasty with announcing it. No matter how many people ask for it in topics.
Oh, and stop bumping. No one cares anymore. I've tried explaining why you should stop keeping this topic active, I hope you won't anymore.
