I got to the 2nd Sicily campaign mission, defeated all the Italian fighters, then on the radio came the message about Johnson crash landed and needs to picked up, do I want to do it?
At this point the directional buttons showed up as a prompt but without any text, so I had no idea which button corresponds with which action! Anyone had this problem (PS3 version, btw right is No left is yes)? How did this passed QA?

I don't think it does anything besides what the narrator at the end says? I don't think you unlock any planes or anything special if you choose either, so it's more just personal preference?

He wants to know why it does't say what button is yes, and what button is no. I can't tell you since I don't have the game yet.

Actually you get an extra task, land on a field close to Johnson, pick him up and take off, leave the area, I guess for extra points and a different closing narration of the mission.

Already figured it out, right=no, left=yes, for future reference (I think there are more missions with multiple choice actions). Anyway, I was just wondering if this is something unique, result of some specific setting combination or just a generic bug for the PS3 version? Noone else had this problem?

This had me the first time however on my second attempt I noticed that it does tell you but not in the same place that it prompts you. The prompt appears bottom middle of the screen. The icon telling you which way to press it appears toward the left upper bit, in the same place the wingman command icons do.

(this was on realistic BTW)

If i remember right, on the Xbox at least, the left and right D-Pad, has an X and a Tick on screen, to show yes and no to accepting the side mission.

On the Xbox, it is the D-pad. Left is yes and right is no.
