View Full Version : Multi/Single player differences

I finally got into a quick sim dogfight online and I noticed a few differences that in the single player. This could be my imagination, but some of you who have been able to get into more games can perhaps confirm.

1. Flight model affected by damage. In the SP game, I haven't really noticed my plane being affected by damage other than the engine getting killed. In the MP game, my plane was rendered almost unflyable from a damaged wing. I was having to adjust trim and pull hard on rudder and ailerons to keep from rolling. Very fun, actually.

2. Heavy breathing sound effect when pulling high G maneuvers. It sounded like a pre-blackout warning. I hope that this wasn't just the guy I was playing against. :)

3. Lack of sound effects when my plane was getting shot up in some instances.

Anyone notice anything else?

Yeah, I saw a lot of people going down in flames in front of me? But all I did, was give them a friendly knock with my MGs and Cannons :P Seriously, I really haven't payed much attention to what happens, except when I get shot in the wing, that I notice! But the breathing, and lack of sound effect, I haven't really noticed. For some reason, the damage model sorta seems different in Single Player than Online. When I get hit in the wings, maybe not really bad. Just some MG rounds or so, I seem to have a bit of a hard time controlling the I-16. But on Single Player during the Campaign or Single Missions, it doesn't do much?
